Emotions Wheel: – Fear: 1/6

Utilising the umbrella of The Junto’s Emotions Wheel. We begin our themed discussions today, under the theme of Fear. This is a good place to start, as any issues we may have of fear, also has a direct impact on our Root Chakra. Therefore, regarding the scope of Wellbeing and Energy Healing, we begin at the beginning.

It is quite poignant to address this theme at a time where it coincides with this particular seasonal change. As we enter Autumn/Fall. We acknowledge that it too brings about an emotional change in many of us, in what has come to be known as: Seasonal Affective Disorder, or SAD.

During this timeframe, we are generally apt to take stock of our lot in life. Reflecting on our past, whilst noting our present. Perhaps ticking off our checklists and seeing how far we have come to date.

Then. It hits us. The self-questioning. It is also a time when we develop regrets and start to become resentful towards ourselves and others. It is a time when relationships are broken or in some way reach a stalemate.

During this time of uncertainty, many people often start to think there must be more to life. Yet perhaps what the majority haven’t done, is go beyond that thought stage. To literally go further and see that yes! There is actually something more. There can be a whole host of reasons why. Yet the number one reason, is fear. For example, there could be fear of the unknown, fear of change, or fear of failure. In these unprecedented times, never as this been more prominent. Which is unfortunate, as many a dream was lost out of fearfulness.

We have potential to do so many ruinous things to ourselves and others at this time. And that is exactly what we tend to do. We succumb to fear.

So, what is fear?

The Britannica Dictionary describes fear as: “an unpleasant emotion caused by being aware of danger: a feeling of being afraid.”

The acronym – FEAR, has been described as: False Evidence Appearing Real.

This is in no way a light subject to approach, let us realise that fear is very real and encompasses wide states of being that we will be covering. If you are in need of help and guidance in any way, then please go and gain the assistance required.

And now, let us not forget. This really is the beginning. We continue next week with the words: Scared – Frightened, Helpless.

Thank you for reading.
