Warley Park & Woods Abbey Road Smethwick B67
In this particular post. We’re taking a walk in the wooded area of Warley Park. I have always referred to this as “Warley Woods” or “The Woods.” This was the first significant wooded area I visited with my dad and siblings, back in the 1970’s.
Picture if you can, a time of no internet or social media sites. I can go on. Yet my point is: to live in the moment, is what’s important – I was a child living in the moment.
I literally stood in awe of such a place – my first visit. I took in the size and shapes of the trees. The feel of the different Bark on each consecutive tree. The smell of the woodland. The crunch of the undergrowth. The birds and Squirrels.
There are many ideas, stories and fairy tales on woodlands. Ways of life, and truisms even.
This is somewhere we may naturally go and take a walk. Maybe to take in nature and the aesthetics that can only be found in such a place. Maybe. We’re pondering something, and seeking clarification by walking amongst the trees.
A song comes to mind here, with the line: “I talk to the trees, but they don’t listen to me.”
Clint Eastwood – song 1969.
A question here. Do trees listen to you?
Well. As fellow sentient beings and whereas they may not be able to voice themselves as we do. They are able to sense through vibration. They can pick up our vibration and therefore respond to it.
I will had here, and I know there are some who may read this and roll their eyes.
We are all part of the one consciousness. This includes trees. They are – just like ourselves. Living and breathing entities.
As such. We have a choice on whether we spend time with them and also share our own vibration. This can be very therapeutic and I’ve attached a meditation with this in mind.
Once again. There are no photos in this particular post. I will include the albums for both “The Woods” and Park in our next post. Where we’re stepping out of “The Woods”, and taking a walk around Warley Park.
Thank you for reading.
