Emotions Wheel:- Surprise 1/6.

The Britannica Dictionary states: –
Surprise:
An unexpected event, piece of information, gift, party, etc.
The feeling caused by something that is unexpected or unusual.
To happen to (someone or something) unexpectedly.
To attack, capture, or approach (someone or something) without warning.

Surprise, Surprise: used to say in a joking or ironic way that something is not surprising at all.

We’ve moved through the heavier and darker states of the Emotions Wheel and now begin our talks on the lighter states of being. We’re never entirety out of the woods – so to speak. As today’s topic suggests – we now enter a state of surprise.
Yet we are covering all possibilities within the Junto’s Emotions Wheel – as you will know.

That being said. It would be worthwhile here to check in with ourselves and put our house in order. We can do this by laying down some preparation, lest we be caught “off guard”, should/when something does occur in our lives.

So what can we do?
We should always be looking at our next steps regardless and can begin by asking ourselves: Have I prepared for all likelihoods?

Looking at The Britannica Dictionary definitions at the start of this post. We can ensure at least some preparation is met.
A little advice before looking at the various areas of life.
We shouldn’t let our findings upset us – if they’re not entirely favourable. Rather, welcome the discovery and this opportunity to improve.

You may decide to change the topics to suit. Yet typical areas are: – Significant Other; Personal Growth; Fun & Leisure; Home Environment; Career; Money; Health; Friends & Family;

Once we find an area requiring improvement. This is factored into our lives, step by step. Allowing us to become more at cause in life. Which is more beneficial than being at effect. So let us not wait for something to occur before doing anything. Remember: “Failure to prepare, is preparing to fail.”

Another reference point:

On Christmas Day 2022. I put out a post entitled:
Emotions Wheel: – Sadness: Neglected – Isolated – Lonely 2/7

Within that post I suggested a Visualisation Practice, wherein the Reader is asked: What does my ideal day look like?
I further suggested – having recorded the day – this writing is kept as a “someday plan”.

Now today. We are on the topic of Surprise. Yet it should come as no surprise at all, that our “Someday Plan” remains as such. Just as with anything in life, it must have forward movement.

Therefore. Why not put that plan into action right now? Or at least move further along with it. There are times where we have no control over events. Yet let us not forget those that we do have control over, and what a lovely surprise the outcome of those can be.

Should you require more formal and professional advice or assistance. Then please seek it accordingly.

Thank you for reading.

Next week. We’re discussing: Stunned – Shocked – Dismayed.
