I mentioned last week how all too quickly, we are apt to point the finger at others, due to taking things and people for granted. It is easy to point the finger and play the blame game. The post was titled “Great Expectations”.
Another trait is to label people – especially if there’s an audience present. Let’s face it, those labels aren’t likely to be polite are they? This can actually lead to great exasperation, if things go too far. I’d go so far as to say, they are both lazy things to do also.
An interesting factor of this labelling I’ve found. If people cannot neatly file you under one label or other, they tend to become uncomfortable themselves.
I wanted to raise a few points of awareness on those particular traits together, from an Energy Healing point of view: –
- When we are on the receiving end of such things, we seldom feel good.
- The one pointing the finger or labelling you only have short lived gratification in doing so. Therefore, they do not feel that great either – believe it or not.
- Both the “Giver” and “Receiver” are experiencing negative energy flow at this time – leading to, or are already at blockage point.
- It is lazy in that not much thought has been entered into. All too easy to knock someone down.
When we have negative energy flow, we’re not feeling too good. It drains us, we feel heavier, as it bares it’s weight upon ourselves.
Alternately. When we have positive energy flow, we feel good. We feel lighter, as though a weight has been lifted from us – and that is exactly what has happened. Yet, how often do we genuinely give a little thought and consideration to others? There is a saying “If you have nothing good to say, better say nothing at all.” This sits well here, from a wellbeing point of view.
Just as knocking someone down, doesn’t make you an hard person. It doesn’t make you a soft person to show kindness and compassion.
Likewise. Allowing your emotions to be shown, doesn’t make you a soft touch. Those who think otherwise, do not know the real meaning of the word emotion, is “Energy In Motion.”
OK. To get to my point. No matter what we think, do, or say. Whether it is physically or verbally, negative or positive. It is all energy.
Here’s an exercise to help you live a little lighter. Please have a listen and share your thoughts with a comment: –
